A raised, star-shaped backplate that can be used across the Good Bones collection.

The finishing layer.

Most people skip the backplate. CECELIA changes that calculation. Its star form is a deliberate echo of ASTER from the lighting collection, and because it is raised rather than flush, it catches the light with a subtle sparkle. It also shifts the proportion of a smaller handle, framing it and protecting the joinery from grease and fingerprints.

Hole sizes refined through multiple iterations to cast dramatic, patterned shadows without revealing the bulb.

Mixed metals as neutrals.

Polished finishes chosen to sit alongside existing brass, chrome or nickel hardware, sculptural when off and alive when lit.

No detail was too small. Hole sizes were refined through multiple iterations to create dramatic shadows without revealing the bulb, and the polished metals were chosen to complement existing brass, chrome or nickel hardware.

Each piece shines sculpturally when off and comes to life when lit.
